Lodging Situation

Hello everyone, we hope you'll be able to make it up to Vermont to celebrate!  We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone.  Here's a little information about the lodging situation...
There is quite a lot of lodging in Waitsfield, mainly in the form of "country inns" and B&B's.  All of these places also seem to do weddings, so they might fill up fast.  Factor in that it's a holiday weekend, and I'm sure they'll fill up even faster with normal folks.  So don't put off finding a place to stay until the last minute.  The Feather Bed Inn is within walking distance from the Lareau Farm Inn, where the wedding will take place.  The other places in Waitsfield (listed to the left) are all within a few minutes drive of the wedding venue.  The town of Warren is about 10 minutes to the south.  The town of Waterbury (with the only chain hotel nearby, a Best Western) is about 25 minutes north.  Stowe (where we live) is about 45 minutes to the north.  There is also a campground in Duxbury, about 15 minutes away, and some state parks not too far away if you want to get really rustic.
Have a look at the links to the left.  That is most of the nearby lodging places, but not all of them.  Leave me a comment if you're having difficulty, and I'll see what I can do.

  1. Hi Chrissy & Will
Thanks so much for listing us on your blog... we really appreciate it! Lareau Farm is a great venue for a laid-back wedding and we're sure you'll have a wonderful day.
We wanted to share that if you have friends just seeking a one night reservation, we can help! We are already booked out for Fri. Sept 2 and Sat. Sept 3 but presently are wide open after that and therefore will not require a 2 night minimum stay. We're exactly 5 minutes from Lareau Farm and it's a really straight forward drive.
Again many congratulations and have a wonderful day.

    Best

  2. No problem Alison & Phill. We're local folks, but all our family lives out of state, so I imagine a couple folks will end up staying with you. Thanks for accommodating!
